The trading post has 38 pounds of bacon that we can buy out for a total of 2.66. (Only 35 is displayed because, beyond 5, you can only make purchases in increments of 5. I can reopen the window and buy the remaining 3 in a seperate transaction)

We fucked up. Some other asshole is leading the wagon train now. Being a greenhorn means two things: We don't choose where to go at forks in the road; the AI chooses automatically, (they'll keep us steered in the right direction, though) and we don't get as many points at the end.

Every other choice is unaffected as they only effect our wagon and party, so really it doesn't matter outside of score. We can get re-elected if we bring the morale back up to good status, but we seem to be stuck in a Very Low Morale rut, which honestly baffles me. One death should not cause an infinite depression spiral for the whole wagon train like this.

Funny thing, we encounter one of these path choices a right here, three days travel later. When going across the river coming up, you can, at this point, choose whether to take the route to cross the river only once (a difficult, wide part of the river) or another route that crosses the river three times (at easier, shorter parts). Jesus has taken the wheel, so we'll just have to go wherever he takes us.


Just before we hit the river, though, there's some quicksand.
